The testimony of Francisco and Laia Blanco, physiotherapist expert in pelvic floor dysfunctions and co-director of RAP Barcelona, highlights the importance of a comprehensive approach in patients with chronic pelvic pain and a high associated burden of anxiety.
Francisco came to consultation after a long journey through different professionals, with a very intense level of pain, large fluctuations in his symptoms and a notable impact on his rest and quality of life. At a moment of crisis, marked by an exacerbation of pain, anxiety and difficulty sleeping, the team decided to complement the usual treatment with NESA technology.
As Laia Blanco explains, the objective was not to replace manual therapy, but to reinforce it with a tool capable of acting on the regulation of the nervous system and favoring a more stable response from the body. After ten sessions, the evolution was clearly positive: anxiety decreased, sleep quality improved and pain intensity was reduced to much more tolerable levels.
Francisco especially highlights this greater stability achieved over time, an essential aspect in chronic pathologies where true progress does not always lie in the total disappearance of the symptom, but in the possibility of living with it in a much more bearable way. This case illustrates how the integration of new therapeutic tools can open real and sustained ways of improvement in patients with persistent pain.
