Electrophysiology Laboratory
NESA WORLD® – ULPGC
Since 2019, the Electrophysiology Laboratory at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) has established itself as a key center for national and international research in non-invasive neuromodulation using NESA® technology.
Equipped with specialized tools for autonomic nervous system analysis, actigraphy, ECG, EGG, biomarkers and more, the laboratory leads its own research projects while actively collaborating with external research groups.
In addition, the laboratory produces a biannual scientific dossier compiling completed research, ongoing studies and pending projects, allowing professionals and collaborators to closely follow the scientific evolution of NESA® technology and its clinical applications.
Current NESA® Research
Since the beginning of our scientific partnerships in 2016, and despite the global healthcare challenges of 2020, we have published more than 15 triple-blind randomized clinical trials, currently have 10 more underway, and are developing over 30 additional research projects.
Supported by universities, hospitals and numerous researchers, we proudly explore bioelectricity and its impact on autonomic nervous system care.
Research that transforms
Through the ULPGC research laboratory, we actively collaborate with more than 15 prestigious academic and scientific institutions — including Universidad Europea, URJC, UAX and UCLM.
Our commitment to science is reflected in measurable outcomes: Every year, we publish high-impact studies in areas such as clinical physiology, sleep, biomarkers, chronic pain, urogynecology, angiogenesis and sports medicine.
Research Support
Advancing research from within
At NESA®, we do not only generate evidence: we create the conditions for others to investigate it as well.
We provide hospitals and universities with technical, academic and operational support so they can integrate non-invasive neuromodulation into their own research lines.
rom protocol design to clinical follow-up, we collaborate closely in building solid and independent scientific environments capable of validating new applications of NESA® technology in real-world settings.
We also actively support students in the development of doctoral theses, providing access to technology, data and methodological guidance.
Our mission is clear: to enable every institution — and every researcher — to discover the potential of bioelectricity in human health for themselves.
