Elba Zamorano works at the Instituto Terapia y Movimiento in Madrid and is specialized in pelvic floor. She explains that, since they have the NESA machine, they have observed an increasingly greater flow of patients using it, both by recommendation of the center itself and by patients who come from outside. She points out that, although they already achieved improvements with their treatments before, with NESA that evolution seems to occur more rapidly.
During her intervention, she highlights a clinical case of a woman with Achilles tendinopathy whom they had been treating for several months with different therapies, without her reporting improvement. After using NESA for approximately ten sessions or so, they observed improvement both in the tendinopathy at the ultrasound level and in other aspects that were not the main focus of treatment, such as sleep and incontinence.
This case led them to consider NESA as a more global therapy. Elba especially values its versatility and ease of application, since it does not require specific knowledge of the musculature beyond correctly placing the electrodes.
She also points out that she would recommend it to psychologists who want to improve their attention in the room during treatment. For her, success consists of being able to attend to an manageable number of patients and treat them as best as possible.
