Sandra Guerra and Sergio Sánchez, physicians at Canarias Biomédica, present their center in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria as a space of integrative medicine that combines conventional medicine, natural medicines, body strategies and NESA neuromodulation. They explain that they understand medicine as a way to help nature, accompanying the health, recovery and well-being processes of each person.
In their approach, the person who comes to the center occupies the central place of treatment, while professionals act as part of a support team. They define integrative medicine as the use of the strategy that each patient needs at each moment, including complementary techniques, conventional medicine and body resources, always seeking a global vision of the human being.
They began working with NESA superficial neuromodulation at the beginning of 2019, after learning about it endorsed by the experimentation carried out at the University of Las Palmas. They were especially interested in its relationship with the regulation of the vegetative, sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system, present in many of the pathologies they treat.
Among the cases they highlight, they mention patients with anxiety, insomnia, medication reduction and an acute crisis of progressive paralysis with rapid recovery. They also emphasize its usefulness in well-being, digestion, sleep, energy and prevention.
