Antonio Miguel Hijano, physician licensed in 2012 and originally from Jerez de la Frontera, practices in three areas: forensic medicine, sports medicine and accompaniment to young people with affective diseases. He is also an artistic gymnastics coach at national competitive level, which gives him a unique perspective between the clinical and the sporty.
He came to NESA through his own experience as a patient with a disease without conventional diagnosis, which led him to investigate the autonomic nervous system and discover the technology. He defines NESA as the tool to address the “miscellaneous drawer” of medicine: all those psychosomatic pathologies derived from chronic stress that the healthcare system does not know where to locate or how to treat, and that generate enormous suffering without current solution.
His three lines of work with NESA are: patients with permanent work disabilities to whom he wants to offer a new therapeutic opportunity, high-performance gymnasts for injury prevention and improvement of concentration and management of competitive stress, and publication of scientific studies on these profiles. He defends that sleep should be the first question in any medical or sports consultation.
