Raúl Blanco Hernández, physiotherapist and director of Blanco Hernández Physiotherapy Clinic in Avilés, shares a close, committed and constantly evolving vision of his clinical practice. Specialized in sports and traumatology physiotherapy, and with previous experience at the General Hospital of Bordeaux in areas such as ICU, resuscitation and respiratory physiotherapy, he emphasizes the importance of offering individualized treatment, with continuous follow-up and a very close trust relationship with each patient.
In his testimony, Raúl focuses on the potential of the autonomic nervous system as a still little-explored field, but with great possibilities to improve functionality and quality of life in different pathologies. Since he incorporated NESA into his clinic, he notes that he has observed particularly relevant results in patients with fibromyalgia, who report improvements from the first sessions in aspects such as joint inflammation, rest and sleep quality.
As he explains, this tool has allowed him to passively address cases that were previously difficult to treat with manual therapy, especially due to these patients’ sensitivity to pain. The impact has been such that he has created an exclusive room for NESA within his clinic, reflecting the importance it has acquired in his daily activity.
Furthermore, he expresses his interest in continuing to delve into new applications, especially in migraines, headaches and cervico-facial pathologies, always keeping as an objective to continue growing professionally without losing closeness or the vocation for continuous improvement.
