Raúl Martínez, physiotherapist and partner at the Fisio Global Sport clinic in Granada, shares his experience with the incorporation of NESA within a practice focused primarily on sports physiotherapy and manual treatment. In his testimony, he explains that the main objective of his work continues to be solving the specific problem for which the patient arrives, using different tools depending on the pathology and the needs of each case. From this perspective, NESA is not proposed as an isolated treatment, but as another resource within a broad approach that includes manual therapy, ultrasound, percutaneous electrolysis and other techniques.
As he relates, this technology has allowed them to reach aspects that are not always achieved with other interventions, especially in patients with sleep disorders, radiculopathies, canal stenosis or athletes subjected to high training and competition loads. In these cases, he highlights its usefulness both in fatigue recovery and in injury prevention, by favoring more restful rest and better general regulation of the body. For Raúl, this type of improvement can positively influence muscle recovery and the decrease of stress associated with continuous physical effort.
Although he points out that NESA has not changed his way of working, he does consider that it has expanded his therapeutic possibilities and given him another tool to intervene where other techniques don’t fully reach. His vision is that of an integrable, useful technology adaptable to different profiles within physiotherapy practice.
