Rosana Bellosta, Zaragoza psychologist and co-director of the Vitae Psicología center, shares her experience with the incorporation of NESA as a complementary tool within the therapeutic approach to sleep and emotional regulation. In her testimony, she explains that an important part of her patients present sleep difficulties, which led her to delve deeper into this area to enrich the therapies they already performed in consultation. From her perspective, improving rest not only influences sleep itself, but also multiple dimensions of psychological well-being and daily functioning.
As she relates, in this first stage the team members themselves decided to try the technology on themselves, as part of their usual way of working and getting to know up close what they later apply with patients. In her personal experience, although she did not have major sleep problems, she did perceive greater rest and a more marked feeling of internal stability, something especially valuable in a demanding pace of life. At a clinical level, she emphasizes that when a patient does not rest well, a cascade of consequences usually appears: irritability, lack of concentration, low performance, schedule imbalances and, in many cases, need for medication.
Rosana emphasizes that better sleep quality can translate into more solid emotional regulation, greater well-being and overall improvement in personal, work and relational life. For her, having tools that facilitate that basic change is very valuable support within psychological work.
