The testimony of Albert Moreno, physiotherapist and osteopath, director of Plain Clinic in Barcelona, and Carmen Carrete, patient with a long history of chronic pain, reflects the value of an integrative approach aimed at improving quality of life in complex, long-evolution cases.
Carmen has lived for years with multiple pathologies, including polyarthrosis, persistent pain, sleep alterations, chronic fatigue and limitations derived from a prolonged clinical process. To this situation were added anxiety associated with pain and significant deterioration of night rest, which directly conditioned her daily well-being.
Faced with this clinical picture, the team decided to complement the conservative physiotherapy and osteopathy treatment with NESA technology, with the aim of acting on fatigue, sleep quality and the regulation of the autonomic nervous system. As Albert Moreno explains, this integration has allowed working more globally on the balance between the sympathetic and parasympathetic systems, favoring a more stable response from the body.
For her part, Carmen highlights a clear improvement in her sense of relaxation, in the decrease of anxiety and, especially, in the quality of rest. Going from sleeping barely three or four hours to reaching nights of five or six hours has meant a very relevant change in her daily life. This case highlights how a combined therapeutic strategy can contribute significantly to reducing the impact of chronic pain and recovering greater stability and well-being.
