Celia Martínez

Physiotherapist, Fisioterapia Bola de Oro Clinic, Granada

“NESA offers a unique opportunity to regulate the autonomic nervous system, something that is practically impossible to address with manual therapy. This is especially useful for patients with chronic pain who have not shown evolution with other treatments.”

Video description

Celia Martínez, physiotherapist, works in Granada at the Fisioterapia Bola de Oro clinic along with another professional. She explains that she tries to offer the best possible results to her patients, adapting each treatment to their conditions and pathology, but also taking care of the treatment and therapeutic alliance created during the process.
From the first contact with NESA, Celia saw an opportunity to work on the regulation of the autonomic nervous system, something she considers difficult to address in usual clinical practice. She relates that in her day-to-day she encounters patients with chronic pain who get stagnant and who do not evolve as expected, even after trying different therapies or referring them between colleagues.
For her, NESA brings added value by offering another form of treatment for these cases, especially in patients with long-evolution chronic pain. She also relates the autonomic nervous system with functions such as homeostasis, sleep, stress and general functioning of the body.
Celia points out that they have high expectations for the future and have already identified patients in whom to start using the technology. In addition, she would recommend it to physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals, including psychology, within a multidisciplinary approach.
