Silvia Sánchez, physiotherapist specialized in manual therapy and integrative physiotherapy with PNI approach (psychoneuroimmunology), works at a center in Torremolinos addressing the patient from a complete biopsychosocial perspective. Her philosophy starts from a clear conviction: there are pathologies that cannot be resolved if the biochemical and electrical aspects of the body are not taken into account.
Her discovery of NESA has a curious origin: Pablo Motos mentioned on El Hormiguero that he used a non-invasive neuromodulation device to sleep better, which led her to investigate and find NESA. Although it took her time to connect with the team, the topic of sleep hooked her from the beginning, convinced that 80% of her patients have sleep alterations and that this conditions everything else: the nervous system, the vagus nerve, biochemical processes and chronic musculoskeletal pain.
Her vision of NESA use is not as just another complement, but as an integrative therapy of biopsychosocial aspects: sleep, stress, intestinal function and mental health. She has in mind to develop a joint project with a psychologist that covers neurotransmitters, endocrine factors and mental attitude, where NESA’s autonomic regulation can be the common thread.
