Paloma María Blasco, physiotherapist with private consultation in Valencia, works alongside a multidisciplinary team formed by areas such as podiatry, therapeutic rehabilitation, osteopathy and nutrition. She explains that the main objective of her center is for patients to leave happy and she highlights the union of the team as one of its most important values.
Her relationship with NESA began when she finished at the University of Valencia, when she carried out a Final Degree Project focused on comparing invasive neuromodulation with NESA against posterior tibial nerve. As a result of that work, her professors proposed her to participate in the Entre Dos Manos congress, where she obtained the prize for best poster, an experience she remembers as exciting and significant.
During her intervention, Paloma emphasizes that NESA should be understood as one more tool within the healthcare field. Specifically, she mentions overactive bladder as a urinary dysfunction that significantly affects quality of life and health, also being able to influence aspects such as anxiety, loss of sleep and daily life.
As she explains, NESA allows working variables such as anxiety, sleep and depression, so she considers it a useful tool. She also mentions an ongoing project with new variables and measurements at three months, with the expectation of advancing toward a future article.
