“By improving rest, patients notice a change in their mood and energy, and it is often their family members who highlight the improvement in their emotional well-being.”

Nerea Gaspar, physiotherapist and acupuncture professional, directs a clinic in Zaragoza where she works mainly with patients with long-evolution pain. In her testimony, she explains that one of the characteristics she most repeats in consultation is sleep alteration: people who cannot fall asleep, who wake up several times during the night or who carry a constant lack of energy. From her experience with NESA, she has observed that improving rest can become a turning point in the global evolution of the patient.
As she relates, one of the profiles in which she is seeing the best results is that of women in the menopause or postmenopause stage, in whom hormonal changes trigger sleep problems that, if prolonged over time, end up significantly affecting mood, energy and quality of life. She specifically mentions cases in which, after ten sessions, sleep quality improved very notably. From that better rest, patients began to notice clear improvement in their vitality and emotional well-being.
Nerea Gaspar also emphasizes that often it is family members themselves who perceive the change most clearly, especially in mood and daily attitude. Her final vision is clearly integrative: she considers that the best approach is one in which different professionals add from their areas —psychology, nutrition, yoga or physiotherapy— to offer real and global improvement to the patient.
