Marta Barredo, physiotherapist specialized in traumatology and sports physiotherapy, works at Fisiorama in León, a clinic with two branches — neuro and trauma — where she dedicates herself mainly to therapeutic exercise and pain treatment.
Her vocation was born at 16 years old as a result of her own basketball injuries, spending so much time with physiotherapists that she fell in love with the profession. She defines empathy as the fundamental value of any good physiotherapist, above any technique.
Her expectations with NESA are clear: complement treatment in those pathologies that do not finish resolving with conventional tools. She highlights as the main advantage that being non-invasive, it can be applied to practically any patient, including those with fear of needles or aversion to other techniques, something especially valuable in her daily practice.
She emphasizes the direct relationship between sleep and pain: a patient who does not rest well will be more alert and will continue to have pain, regardless of the treatment they receive. She sees in NESA a particularly useful tool for chronic pain, where she recognizes that conventional physiotherapy sometimes falls short, and she hopes that the training will bring her additional resources to address these complex cases.
