Dr. Albert Estiarte, medical specialist in internal medicine and currently dedicated to healthcare management, shares the strategic vision of a center that seeks to offer comprehensive care to the patient, especially in the sports and rehabilitation field. In his testimony, he explains that one of the great objectives of Clínica San José, within the Althaia group, has been to build a space where the athlete can find in one place emergencies, traumatology, rehabilitation, sports medicine, nutrition and podiatry, thus generating a much more complete and coordinated care model.
As he relates, this comprehensive approach has allowed converting the center into a reference for professional and amateur athletes, and now the next step is to advance in quality, research and training. In this context, he emphasizes the importance of collaborating with NESA in regulated studies that allow rigorously demonstrating the benefit of new technologies applied to rehabilitation. For him, it is not just about incorporating a novel tool, but about scientifically verifying whether it can improve outcomes in specific pathologies and, from there, transferring that advance to the large volume of patients they attend each year.
His intervention values clinical research as the engine of care improvement. From his perspective, the true progress of a health center does not only consist of treating well, but in continuing to learn, comparing results, incorporating useful innovation and offering increasingly more effective and complete care.
