Pablo Hernández is a physiotherapist and osteopath working independently in Zamora. In this testimonial he explains how his practice has evolved since incorporating non-invasive neuromodulation. He relates that, before discovering it, his work was based on manual therapy, osteopathy, ultrasound and invasive and percutaneous neuromodulation techniques, and that transcutaneous neuromodulation surprised him with its power, notably broadening the range of patients and problems he is able to address.

He describes a shift in the way he works: from focusing on one specific problem in each patient, he has moved to being able to treat several dimensions of their health in a more global and simultaneous way. He shares, as a particularly meaningful case, that of a woman who — following an ischaemic stroke and a difficult personal loss — developed Sudeck’s syndrome in her right arm, with impaired mobility and a hypersensitivity that severely affected her daily life, to the point of not being able to tolerate the touch of clothing or bedsheets.

He relates that, after redirecting the focus of the treatment towards that arm, the patient experienced significant improvement in fewer than ten sessions: she regained mobility and function and her hypersensitivity decreased considerably. Pablo emphasises that the approach was combined with other therapies, and describes this as one of the cases that has moved him most in his career.
