Irene M. Marcos

Physiotherapist, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

“We have done a clinical case with a chronic patient with multiple pathologies and the results with the machine have been quite good, especially in chronic pain, sleep and urinary incontinence.”

Video description

Irene, a physiotherapist from Murcia who currently works in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, explains that in her clinic, located near Hospital Doctor Negrín, they have been using NESA since September together with her colleague Carlos. During this time, treatments have focused mainly on patients with chronic pain, sleep alterations and urinary incontinence.
She comments that they have carried out a clinical case with a chronic patient with multiple pathologies and that, so far, the results obtained with the machine have been quite good. Her intention is to continue testing the technology, especially in the sleep area, since she considers that rest may be related to many dysfunctions at the organic level.
Irene emphasizes that many patients who come to her clinic have chronic pathologies and seek to feel heard, understood and accompanied, rather than an immediate solution. For her, physiotherapy also has an emotional dimension, because they are professionals who spend a lot of time with the patient.
She defines NESA as a painless and complementary treatment, useful to expand the therapeutic tools available. She also points out that it can be beneficial to work multidisciplinarily with other professionals, always with the goal that the patient leaves better than they entered.
