Estefanía Medina Selas, physiotherapist at the Reyes Medina physiotherapy office, presents the case of Isaac, a young patient diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis who came to the center due to chronic pain and stiffness that significantly conditioned his daily life. As explained in the testimony, the disease had reached a point where his own musculature and physical state limited him in daily activities as simple as standing, walking through a shopping center or maintaining a conversation without discomfort. The pain also significantly impacted nighttime rest, preventing him from sleeping more than a few hours in a row and also generating anxiety and clear functional deterioration.
Treatment with NESA was incorporated with the aim of improving this global situation, especially in relation to persistent pain, inflammation, stiffness and sleep alteration. Although the first sessions were more complex due to the time he had been living with these symptoms, the evolution was progressively positive. Isaac describes a clear reduction in the sensation of swelling and inflammation, better quality of rest and greater lightness in movements, which has allowed him to better tolerate activities that were previously very limiting.
