Mª del Mar

Worker at Don Benito-Villanueva Hospital, operating room service

From the first day with NESA I noticed improvement: I stopped going to the bathroom so many times and no longer needed to wear protection. In addition to improving my incontinence, I feel more relaxed, sleep better and live again. I would recommend this treatment to everyone; its arrival at the hospital has been a true opportunity.

María del Mar, worker at Don Benito-Villanueva Hospital in the operating room service, shares her experience with a urinary incontinence problem that had very significantly conditioned her daily life. As she relates, the situation generated great emotional burden and a continuous feeling of distress, to the point of having to organize her routine based on pads, clothing changes and frequent trips to the bathroom during her workday. Before starting this treatment she had tried pelvic floor exercises and oral medication, but the results were not sufficient and, over time, it worsened again.
In this context, she decided to participate in treatment with NESA when the opportunity arose at the hospital. From the first day she began to notice small improvements, especially in the frequency with which she had to go to the bathroom and change. With the passing of sessions, the evolution was much more evident: she stopped needing pads constantly and recovered a freedom she had not experienced for years. As she explains, one of the most significant moments was realizing that she had left home without protection and had not needed it. For her, that meant a huge change in security, autonomy and quality of life.
In addition, she reports an improvement in sleep and in the general feeling of relaxation. She is currently in the maintenance phase and values this experience as a turning point that has allowed her, in her own words, to “start living again”.
