“After two consecutive sessions, I woke up the next morning and didn’t feel any pain. That was the strongest thing I experienced: going from not being able to walk to feeling nothing.”

Yolanda Suárez Molataya, physiotherapist at Fisioterapia Alcobendas within the Marvulen team, presents the case of Margarita, a patient with sciatic nerve neuropathy who had been in treatment for months due to a persistent and fluctuating pain condition. As she explains, the evolution did not fully consolidate: there were periods of improvement and others of worsening, but without achieving a truly significant recovery. The patient lived with pain in the back of her leg that, although initially allowed her to walk, was continuously present and conditioned her daily life.
The turning point came when she came to consultation with a significant flare-up of the condition. At that moment, the pain not only ran through the back of the leg but also affected the front of the thigh, to the point of practically preventing her from walking. Faced with this situation, it was decided to temporarily intensify the sessions with NESA, concentrating treatment in a shorter period to respond to the increase in pain.
As Margarita relates, the improvement was very rapid and especially evident after two consecutive sessions. She went from not being able to walk and moving with great difficulty to getting up the next day without pain and recovering the ability to walk normally. Furthermore, she explains that even outside the most acute phases she continues to notice benefits and favorable evolution. Overall, the testimony reflects a very positive response in terms of pain, mobility and functional recovery.
