“I know that if the tiredness comes back to me, I have a resource to improve it. That gives a lot of hope and a lot of confidence.”

Isabel Morais is 65 years old and has been a patient at physiotherapist María González’s clinic for thirteen years, whom she saw regularly for back problems, herniated discs and contractures. She shares in this testimonial her personal experience living with a rare disease —a type V glycogenosis— whose main symptom is chronic fatigue that affects muscle flexibility, favours contractures and drained her of the energy needed to face her daily life.
She recounts that, when the professional incorporated non-invasive neuromodulation, she proposed trying it with fatigue as the main objective, together with pain and rest, and with follow-up through various assessments to objectively measure the results. Isabel recounts that around the fifth session she began to notice a clear improvement: less tiredness, better spirits and also less pain.
She describes how that change has had an impact on her everyday life, allowing her to tackle her tasks with more energy and joy, and even to set herself new activities. She explains that she follows a maintenance schedule, increasing the frequency of the sessions in times of greater fatigue. For her, the most valuable thing is the peace of mind of having a resource to turn to when the tiredness reappears, something she experiences with hope. She concludes by expressing her wish to share her experience with other people who live with chronic fatigue.
