“I didn’t think the rest I was going to get through NESA could have an impact on my sporting performance.”

Josu Quesada is 39, a businessman in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and a sports enthusiast who combines cycling, running and swimming. In this testimonial he shares his personal experience with a problem he had carried since the start of his working life: badly disrupted rest, linked to the stress and responsibility of being self-employed, which over time he had come to normalise as something with no solution.
He recounts that he first came to the centre to recover from knee surgery and that, encouraged by a relative’s experience, he decided to try non-invasive neuromodulation. He says it helped him fall asleep and rest better, with fewer night-time awakenings, and that those routines for regulating his rest brought him a change he hadn’t expected.
He describes how that better rest carried over into other areas of his life: more effective athletic recovery, with improvements in his times and in the quality of his training, as well as a better mood that the people around him notice too. For Josu, the most valuable thing has been realising that a balance between his growing work, family and sporting demands and proper rest really was possible. Today he keeps up monthly sessions and stresses that he feels like a more stable person in his daily life.
