“Sleeping a lot isn’t the same as sleeping well… sleeping the same number of hours, I was able to rest much better.”

Video description

Juan Lucas de la Fuente is 18, competes in high-performance athletics and in 2022 was Spanish runner-up in the 1,500 metres. In this testimonial he shares his personal experience during an especially demanding period: balancing competitive sport with his final year of secondary school, with the aim of improving both his times and his academic results in order to compete for a scholarship in the United States.
He recounts that he discovered non-invasive neuromodulation through physiotherapist Alberto Carlos, director of Alcaba Fisioterapia, and that he decided to try it looking for extra rest and a reduction in fatigue and stress. He says he began to notice changes soon, around the second week of treatment, and that the first thing he felt was a clear improvement in the quality of his sleep: sleeping the same number of hours, he managed to rest much better.
As he describes it, that better rest translated into faster recovery after training and a greater ability to cope with weeks of exams and competitions at the same time. For him, in a context where small details make the difference, that combination of improvements allowed him to handle both demands at a good level and meet his goals. He concludes by noting that he has even recommended his experience to people around him because of the rest it brings.
