Francisco Javier is 61 and works as a self-employed engineer. In this testimonial he shares a personal experience that begins at an especially difficult time: after his wife passed away in 2015, he started having serious trouble sleeping, which over time led him to depend on medication to fall asleep in ever-larger doses. Added to this were a demanding job and various knee and elbow pains resulting from an accident and several operations.
He recounts that, on starting non-invasive neuromodulation at the practice of physiotherapist Aida Sabina, he gradually noticed an improvement. In the first sessions he felt slightly deeper sleep, with fewer night-time awakenings, as well as some relief in his level of anxiety and stress. As the treatment progressed, he describes a more complete improvement in his rest and, unexpectedly for him, the disappearance of his knee and elbow pains.
That progress made it possible to consider a gradual, supervised reduction of his sleep medication while keeping up the maintenance sessions. Francisco Javier says he is coping well with that process and expresses his wish to be able, within a reasonable time, to rest without depending on pills, feeling that he is on the right track.
